Healthy Homemade Powdered Coffee Creamer
My husband and I drink coffee every morning and enjoy having some sweetener in it as well as frothed milk. This healthy powdered coffee creamer is so delicious in our morning coffee!
We generally use honey and almond milk; however, I like having a “creamer” mason jar beside the coffee maker for something in place of liquid coffee creamer.
This homemade powdered coffee creamer is a shelf stable pantry staple and can be customized to your liking. Add as much or as little to your coffee for the desired flavor.
Why you would want to make homemade coffee creamer
If you go to the grocery store and look at the ingredients of powdered creamers, it is crazy how much more they put in some of them than is necessary. All you need is powdered milk and sugar! It’s just that easy. For a flavored creamer you can add a plethora of spices and flavorings.
In my opinion, coffee just tastes better with sweetener, milk, and other flavorings. Maybe I am not a hard core coffee lover because of that, but, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
When I get up in the morning, I want that sweet, creamy coffee as soon as possible ha ha! But, only 1 cup a day, no more than 2. I’m one of those people that gets edgy with too much coffee.

To make this creamer, all you need is:
Powdered Milk
You can use non-fat milk powder or full fat. I use whichever I have on hand.
Sugar
I prefer to use a raw organic cane sugar for this coffee creamer recipe.
How to make Homemade Powdered Coffee Creamer
Take 3 cups of powdered milk and add in 1 1/2 cups of sugar.
You can blend these 2 in a food processor to make the creamer powderier if desired.
Add in 1-2 tbsp of pumpkin spice, apple pie spice, or cinnamon and mix well.
A vanilla bean variation would be so delicious as well!
I add pumpkin spice because it’s the best ever!
How to store homemade powdered coffee creamer
Store this powdered creamer in a large jar at room temperature beside the coffee maker and add 1-2 tablespoons to a cup of hot coffee. Be sure to mix well to get the powder to dissolve completely.
If you are making iced coffee, add the creamer to the hot coffee and mix well before adding the ice. This is a great use of this recipe in the summertime!
**If you desire your creamer to be a liquid, simply add enough water to make a thick, creamy liquid and heat the mixture gently to dissolve it all together. However, this mixture needs to be refrigerated**
