The Easiest Breakfast Gravy with Fresh Milled Flour
This classic breakfast gravy recipe is made with fresh milled flour for increased flavor and nutrition! It's super easy to make and will soon be on repeat in your kitchen at breakfast time!

Ingredients

Avocado Oil
1/4

Fresh Milled Flour
I use soft white wheat
1

Milk

tsp
Salt
Add salt to taste
1/2
tsp
Black Pepper
1
tsp
Dried Sage
May use 5-6 fresh sage leaves finely chopped
Instructions
Preheat a cast iron skillet over medium heat.
Add the oil and flour and whisk until no dry flour bits remain.
Let cook for 2-3 minutes or until the mixture is lightly browned whisking every minute.
While whisking, pour in the milk. Continue whisking until the mixture is smooth.
Add the salt, pepper, and sage.
Whisk until combined.
Let this mixture boil over medium heat for 3-4 minutes whisking occasionally.
Cook until the gravy coats the back of a wooden spoon.
Serve over fresh biscuits and eggs.
Notes
Store leftover gravy in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days.
