This warm bowl of fresh milled cream of wheat is so delicious and healthy! Made with coarsely ground wheat berries, milk, water, and a pinch of salt, this quick breakfast can be made in less than 5 minutes!
1cupCoarsely milled fresh milled flour2/3 cup wheat berries
1 cupMilk
2cupsWater *see notes*
pinchSalt
Instructions
Mill your wheat berries on the coarse setting of your grain mill. On the Nutrimill Harvest, I use the 4pm-5pm setting.
In a medium saucepan, add 1 cup milk and 2 cups of water.
Bring this mixture to a simmer and while whisking add the flour.
Continue whisking until the mixture is thick and creamy, about 1-2 minutes.
Serve immediately with your favorite toppings.
Notes
You can use all water or all milk. It turns out great either way!Top with your favorite sweetener, fruit, or nuts for a filling and delicious breakfast cereal.
